I want to get a full list of tools needed to get a server up and developed to give people like myself a starting point to start looking into if you could link down different parts of the forums or names of tools I will updated this post, and start researching into each one for a personal project try leave a reason why its good to use. Thanks

2. Microsoft SQL Server (2016-2014-2012)
This two are fundamental for KO development.

3. Git - Subversion for simultaneous development as a team

This is optional.

2. Microsoft SQL Server - Guessing this has to be dedicated may just work off a virtual drive on a computer you think that will work for testing? Does anyone have any free online sites that host for free let us know thanks

In regards to actual edit tools for KO models and getting them ready for coders thanks.

In regards to actual edit tools for KO models and getting them ready for coders thanks.

 


If you're going to develop your designs/projects on local environment, you can setup all of tools i've listed above to your personal computer. It'll be ok.
But if you're going to open a server to public, yes, it has to be on a dedicated server along with knight online emulator. (also you can put them on seperate dedicated hosts too).

In game design aspect, you will mostly work on 3DSMax and Autodesk for modelling weapons/objects etc. Later, you can import your designs via Knight online Maya / 3DSMax plugin. For designing textures and such, you can use your favourite photo editor, such as Adobe Photoshop. Knight OnLine uses DXT format for storing texture files, and it has an option to convert a bitmap to DXT file.

Visual Studio '17 Community Edition
SQL Server '16 Express Edition

You can use GitHub or Bitbucket to develop your project(s) with a team. Github allows public repositories for free, but you have to pay in order to have a private repository. Bitbucket allows both public and private repositories for free.

Sorry Just want to get an understanding what does the following parts mean if someone could explain would be really helpful:

New Part: particle?
New Bundle: Run a bunch of scripts together
New Group: ??? - not sure yet

New Part: Options to make new effects.
-Particle: For example minor or cure
-Bilboard: It's a single image. Wherever you look, the picture looks at you. For example fire blast(mage 35 skill)
-Mesh: 3d object. For example light feet or rogue-mage 62 master skills
-Ground: It's a single image like bilboard. Stuck on the ground. For example mage 45 skills(inferno etc) or 1920 heal

New Bundle: "Run a bunch of scripts together" thats true. and save as a game file fxb.

New Group: Save as a game group efect file(.fxg) but it's not work now.
